Wim
Wim (Q-Baze) was born on april 22th 1971 in Alblasserdam and although he moved house a couple of times, he is still living there.
Skills: Sequencing, Midi, Percussion, Drums, sampling, filtering, controller freak, software minded. Style: Trance, hardcore, hard trance, Although some old styles died by now, he still loves to play some CD's from the good old early days.
Music production is the one and only passion that Q-baze is having at the moment. Of course, taken his wife and 2 sons not into consideration. If, for some strange reason, Q-Baze is not working on a new track, he is probably lost on the internet. Internet is time consuming as well as time killing. Since he started on his first computer (1998) an Internet connection was a "must have". So their he was, finding his way through a maze of digital information that fed his eyes.
Q-baze interpretation of the internet: "it's everything you want to know…." During his "computer exploration" days, he started to develop a large interest in computers and Internet. Other then that, he loves to do the "jobs around the house", just because it has to be done and it saves a lot of money by doing it yourself. Over last couple of years he learned to enjoy these tasks. Special thanks to my father, for teaching me how to de things the right way.
And then there are his wife (Jacqueline) and, since recently, 2 sons. The latest (Milan) was born on the 22nd of July 2006. The first (Dion) was born on the 2nd of March 2003. To be honest, Q-Baze never expected to find the time for music production after Dion was born. Basically it is a matter of "time management", and that's where Jacqueline steps in. She is the engine of the family. Keeps everything going and going and going. |
André
André Roodnat was born on march 27th 1972 in a small village somewhere in the province of Zuid-Holland. Momentarily he is living in Alblasserdam.
Skills: Sequencing, Melodies, Chords, Arranging, Mastering (his ears are meant for mastering, believe me), arpeggio's. Style: Trance, Trance, trance, the more the better. Sometimes he's loosing it and plays different tones from Vangelis, Marco Borsato, etc. (sounds great though !!)
Besides making music, André has some other talents. Currently he is developing his skill in photography. Not only making beautiful pictures, but edit them as well. What he can do with a little bit of "Photoshopping" is amazing. Because he and his girlfriend (Cindy) are traveling around the globe (they try to visit different country's each time they go on a holiday) they come across places and faces that are screaming to be photographed.I wonder what the next country will be. Some day I expect a story where he is telling me that he was on the top of the Mount Everest looking in his bag for his camera, and all of the sudden he got tapped on the back by some Chinese asking him to "take picture, you take picture"……. Any way, not that this will ever happen but I wouldn't be surprised if it does
Besides photography and music production another passion is his Porsche 928 V8. André used to dream about a fast sports car that he might have one day. I didn't take that long for that dream to come true. He sold his previous car and bought the 928. Again I wonder, what the next car will be and how it will end up within a few years.
